It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Ellen Robison of Santa Paula. She was called home by our Heavenly Father on November 11, 2014 at the age of 76. Joan was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She and her parents traveled west and eventually settled in North Hollywood. She met her husband there and married in 1954. They moved to Santa Paula in 1969 and have been residents since.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She helped her husband with his trucking business over the years and loved to garden, paint and be with her dogs and numerous other pets. She devoted her life to the care of her family and helping her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Donal; her daughters Laurie, Jane Houchin and Terry Lynn Moore, and their husbands, Monty Houchin and Chris Moore; grandchildren Chad Houchin, Joel Houchin and his wife Ashley Houchin, Shannon Rae Moore and Daniel Ryan Moore; and six great grandchildren, Alyssa Houchin, Cameron Houchin, Carter Houchin, Gabriel Houchin, Wyatt Houchin, and Gracie Houchin; She is also survived by her brother Harold Matson and his family.
Joan will be forever loved and in our hearts. We will miss her everyday.
We would like to thank the nurses and caretakers at Livingston Hospice for the wonderful care during Joan's last days.
