Auburn – Francis X. Norsigian, 76, of Auburn, died peacefully in his home on Monday, November 10th while surrounded by his family after a very short illness.
Frank was married for 33 years to Veronica (Mieleski) Norsigian who died in 1993. He is survived by his two daughters, Dorothy Berard of Sutton and Veronica “Bonnie” Keith of Auburn; two grandchildren, Paul and Monica Keith both of Auburn; two brothers, Charles Norsigian of Millbury and Robert Norsigian of Worcester; two sisters, Rita Bovenzi of Worcester and Alice Gadbois of Murfreesboro, TN; his longtime companion, Dianne Fournier of Auburn and her children and grandchildren. Mr. Norsigian also leaves behind many nephews and nieces.
Frank was born in Worcester, son of the late Harry and Alice (Lehane) Norsigian and is also predeceased by two brothers, Harry and William Norsigian and a sister, Aileen Norsigian.
Mr. Norsigian is a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School and worked as a mechanic for Master Wheel and Transmission for 16 years and then worked for the Wyman Gordon Co. in the vehicle maintenance department for many years until his retirement.
Frank enjoyed a variety of things during his lifetime, mostly spending time with family and friends, as well as, telling jokes, playing Keno, and watching his beloved Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Mr. Norsigian was also a car enthusiast and an avid coin collector.
The funeral will be held on Friday, November 14th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church 198 North Oxford Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are on Thursday, November 13th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
