Edward J. “Skip” Harrington, 73 of Salem, NH died Monday, Nov. 10th at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.
Skip was born and educated in Methuen, MA, the son of the late Florence (O’Loughnan) and Lewis Harrington. He was a truck driver for various companies and he was the former owner of the Glenn Forest Tavern in Methuen.
Skip enjoyed swimming and playing volleyball at Forest Lake and he enjoyed playing guitar and sing-a-longs with his friends and gardening. His favorite times were the large family gathering on Christmas Eve and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his siblings, John Harrington and Kathleen Perron.
Skip is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Dorothy “Dolly” Harrington of Salem; his step-daughter, Kathy Pappathan and her companion Mike Sorenson of Salem, NH; his siblings, Carl Harrington and wife MaryAnn of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel Harrington and wife Carole of Salem, NH, Thomas Harrington and wife Jane of Henderson, NV and Barbara Kothman of No. Andover; his 5 grandchildren, Matt Pappathan and wife Tricia, Jessie Pappathan-Bertini and husband Rob, Cassandra O’Brien and husband Rob and Travis and John Howarth; 3 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private for the family.
