Obituary

WEBSTER – Linda M. (Cyr) Desrosiers, 67 of Webster died Saturday, November 8, 2014, surrounded by her family, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston after a long illness.
She leaves a son, Cory M. Desrosiers and his fiancé, Stephanie Layte of Oxford; 3 grandchildren, Cody, Logan & Peyton Layte-Desrosiers; 2 step-grandsons, Tyler Layte and C.J. Baldwin; a step-granddaughter, Angela Baldwin; a step-daughter, April A. Desrosiers Baldwin of Webster; 2 step-sons, Erik Desrosiers and Roy Desrosiers both of Webster; 3 brothers, Thomas H. and his wife Carol Cyr of Webster, Paul J. & Marilyn Cyr of Oxford and Ronald H. & Heidi Cyr of Holden; a sister, Cynthia P. and her husband Freddie L’Heureux of Thompson; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold T. Cyr, Jr. in 1976 and by her nephew Kevin T. Cyr in 1995.
She was born in Webster and raised in Webster a daughter of Harold T. and Priscilla M. (Barrett) Cyr, Sr. She graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1965.
Ms. Desrosiers worked for Cranston Print Works for many years, retiring in 1999.
She was a communicant of Saint Louis Church and a member of its Saint Louis League of Catholic Women. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Cranston Print Bowling Team.
The funeral will be held Friday, November 14, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 13, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to American Heart Association, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
