Obituary

WORCESTER-Donald K. Mahoney, 87, of Worcester, died Thursday, November 6 at home.
His wife Anne (Johnson) Mahoney passed away in 1980. He leaves his two sons, Brian G. Mahoney and his wife Sandra of Worcester and Robert P. Mahoney and his wife, Christine of Worcester; four grandchildren, Kathryn, Rose, Thomas and Sean; his companion, Barbara Bernier of Worcester; a brother, John Mahoney and his wife, Janice of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. A son, Donald J. Mahoney and eight siblings predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Francis and Anna (Willis) Mahoney and graduated from Saint John's High School. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.

Donald was a clerk and driving instructor for the US Postal Service for many, years before retiring. He also was a milk man for several milk companies in the Worcester area for 50 years, retiring from Whitings Milk Company. Donald was a member of Saint John's Church, the Teamsters Local 170 and was the treasurer for the Worcester Youth Flag Football League. He enjoyed all Boston sports teams and traveling to Ireland.


The Funeral will be held Monday, November 10, from CALLAHAN~FAY and CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint John's Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Sunday, November 9 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McAuley-Nazareth Home, 77 Mulberry St., Leicester, MA 01524.
