Obituary

Walter F. Shroupsky, Jr. age 63 of Brockton, died peacefully on Tuesday November 4, 2014 at his home. Walter was born in Boston and raised in Randolph a son of the late Walter and Romana (Lorenz) Shroupsky and had lived in Brockton since 1975.During the Viet Nam War he served in the US Navy. A 1968 graduate of Randolph High School, Walter was a talented mechanic who worked for various companies throughout the South Shore.
Walter had been a resident of Caffrey Towers for many years and was a member of the Polish White Eagles. He enjoyed collecting knives, gadgets and coins. He also had fond memories of visits to the family cottage in Maine and fishing.
Walter will be remembered as a man who loved to joke around and tell a good story and was always ready to lend someone a hand. His true joy in life was his family, especially his daughters and grandchildren.
Walter was the father of Ellen Savino and her husband Everett of Bridgewater and Donna Rains of Somerville and the brother of Janet Miller of East Bridgewater and Romana Johnston of Monponsett, He leaves five cherished grandchildren and six nieces and nephews that were very special to him. He was the former husband of the late Cheryl Ann Priest.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday 2-4:30pm closing with a funeral service at 4:30pm.
