FALL RIVER… Frances A. Smialek, 92, of Fall River passed away Tuesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Kaszowska) Smialek and had been a lifelong resident of this city. She had resided at Sarah S Brayton Nursing Center.
She was a Communicant of Blessed Trinity Parish in Fall River.
She was employed as a Clerk with the Massachusetts Department of Employment Security retiring in 1980 after 34 years.
Survivors include 2 brothers: Milton Smialek of Fall River and Alfred Smialek of Dartmouth, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice Smialek, Helen Smialek, Sarah Lacava, Victoria Skrzypiec, Louise Finn, Louis Smialek, Jacob Smialek, Henry Smialek, John Smialek, and Thomas Smialek.
Private service for family will be held Saturday at 10 AM at Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA.
