Lucille J. Lefebvre, 80, of Woonsocket died Saturday morning surrounded by her family at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. She was the wife of the late Harold J. Lefebvre. They were married for 60 years at the time of his passing in 2012.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Laroche) Berard. She was a lifelong resident of the city and attended St. Clare School.
Mrs. Lefebvre worked for the Woonsocket School Department as a teacher’s aide at the Social Street School and later as a bus monitor for special needs children. She also worked at local dress shops and was a supervisor at American Tourister before retiring.
Lucille will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son James H. Lefebvre of Chepachet, and a daughter Jeanne L. Dansereau and her husband, Ronald, of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Raymond and Marc Berard, Constance Cote and the late Alfred Berard, Jr. She is also survived by three grandchildren Joel Craig, Breana Lefebvre and Travis Lefebvre and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 2348 Post Rd. Warwick, RI. 02886.
