Mr. David V. Morris, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Friday, October 31 at his residence. He was born 65 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Gilbert V. and Doris H. (Vincent) Morris. He was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. David was formerly employed in both the Housekeeping and Cafeteria Departments of the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, swimming, and flying radio-controlled model airplanes. He was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church in Taunton.
He leaves: 2 brothers: Gilbert Morris of Milford, N.H., and Richard Morris of Quincy; 1 sister: Diane Courcy of Shirley, Ma., and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street, on Friday, November 7 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
