Obituary

Rosaire A. Gagnon, 95, of Salem, NH died Wednesday, Oct. 29th at the Manchester VA Hospital.

Rosaire was born and educated in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1937. He served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of the Holy Name Society with St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen and a member of the 3rd Degree member of Council 7572 of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree member of the Bishop Peterson Assembly. Rosaire was a member of St. Matthew Parish in Windham, NH. He enjoyed woodworking, building furniture and was an amateur radio operator with the call sign W1JXO.

He is survived by his six children, Claire and husband Robert Forsythe of Riverside, CA, Carole and husband Henry St. Louis of Salem, NH, Richard Gagnon and wife Lucy of Salem, NH, Gerard Gagnon and wife Claire of Fremont, NH, Norman Gagnon and wife Ruth of Sandown, NH and Stephen Gagnon and wife Tina of Salem, NH, his brothers, Laurence Gagnon and wife Theresa of Methuen, MA and Russel Gagnon and wife Theresa of Dennis Port, MA; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday, Nov. 15th from 9:00 – 10:00AM at St. Matthew Parish, 2 Searles Rd., Windham, NH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Parish. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosaire’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
