PADGETT, John M. Jr. 91, of Roslindale, born in Virginia, died peacefully surrounded by his family October 30. Beloved husband and soulmate of 69 years to Mary A. (Short) Padgett.
Devoted Dad to Marsha Gortze and her husband Warren of Marston Mills, John M. Padgett, III and his wife Catherine of Roslindale, Carol Hopson and her husband Bob of Medway. Cherished grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 5.
John attended Wentworth Institute and retired from Muzi Motors in Needham after 33 years. He was an active member of the Submarine Veteran's Chapter of Boston. He was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service during WWII and was recipient of the Bronze Star.
