Obituary

SPENCER: Pauline M. (Simoneau) Kallio, 89, of Spencer, died peacefully at her home, on Thursday, Oct. 30th.

She leaves her husband of 69 years, Raymond H. Kallio, her daughter Nancy J. and her husband Bernard Nowak, Jr. of Spencer, three grandchildren; Lisa Rockwood and her husband James of Cache, Ok., Marie Pasquale and her husband Joseph of Raleigh, NC., and Cheryl Lavoie and her husband John of West Newton, six great grandchildren Anna & Alex, Elena & Evan and Benjamin & Adam, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters Laura Simoneau, Evelyn Grenier and Irene Morrissey.

Pauline was manager of the millinery dept. at the former Fair Dept. Store in Spencer, before retiring in 1978. Previously, she was a clerk at the former Spencer Pharmacy.

Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Eldrick and Anna (Harpin) Simoneau. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, a Eucharistic Minister and once taught CCD. She was a “friendly visitor” at Quaboag on the Common in W.Brookfield and Howe Village. She enjoyed crochet and embroidery.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Sunday from 5 to 7pm. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to either Life Choice Hospice, 15 Midstate Dr., Auburn, Ma.01501 or Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, 60 Maple St., Spencer, Ma. 01562.
