Obituary

Florindo “Ed” Morra, 93, of Morgan Avenue, Johnston, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the husband of the late Pietrina “Bertha” (Delfino) Morra.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Michele Angelo and Antonietta (Russo) Morra. He had lived in Johnston for 50 years.

During World War II he served honorably as a Seaman First Class aboard the United States Coast Guard Cutter, Storis, in the North Atlantic Theatre.

He had worked at the former Genser Jewelery and Dolan Bullock Jewelery Companies.

He is survived by his son, Michael Angelo Morra and his wife, Suzanne of Johnston, his granddaughter, Nicole Morra, his sisters: Anna Ploude of Cranston, Adeline Leonardo of Warwick and his brother, Salvatore Morra of Danielson, CT. He was the father of the late Carol Ann Morra and brother of the late Louis, Pasco and Anthony Morra and Antonietta Vanner.

A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 10am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation respectfully omitted.
