Edward Bauer Sr. passed away Tuesday, October 28th, 2014, at the age of 85. Mr. Bauer was the loving husband of the late JoAnn (Kilgore) Bauer and the devoted father of three children; Charles J. Bauer and his wife Linda of Hudson, Wanda M. Reed and her husband Alan of Sandwich and Edward G. Bauer and his wife Kathleen of Milford. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Ed is the son of the late Kathleen Bernier of Quincy and the brother of the late Janet Goodwin of PA. Teddy was stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict as a member of the Air Force. Edward was a graduate of Northeastern University as an electrical engineer and retired from Edwin P Mahard Co as the owner. Amongst his favorite things were his children and grandchildren. He belonged to the PPIA, was a scout leader of Troop 9, and commander of American Legion Post 79. He also served as a town meeting member in Weymouth.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Monday November 3 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM.
