Obituary

George Real Beaudoin, 82, of Salem, NH died Wednesday, Oct. 29th at Greystone Farm. Real was born in Canada and moved to Lawrence, MA when he was 10 years old. He began his working career at age 16 at Brockelman Brothers Grocery Store on Essex St. in Lawrence until he was drafted. Real was stationed at Ft. Bliss where he learned to drive heavy equipment. He worked as a machinist for Bolton Emerson in Lawrence, MA for many years. He also worked at Crown, Cork and Seal. Real was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He loved to travel and enjoyed wintering in Boyton Beach, FL. He enjoyed the computer and he was an avid reader. Real was a civil war and history buff. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lorraine (Dubois) Beaudoin of Salem, his children, Paul Beaudoin and his wife Phyllis of Derry, NH, Linda Matses and her husband Chuck of Boxford, MA, his brother Gerard Beaudoin and his wife Pauline of St. Petersburg, FL and his 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband James Gouin, Brian Beaudoin and his wife Leah, and Nikolas, Jason and Mathew Matses.

Calling hours will be Friday, Oct. 31st from 8:30 – 10:30AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Matthew Parish in Windham. Entombment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Beaudoin’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
