Obituary

Marcel G. St. Hilaire, 90, formerly of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Lawrence, MA, Marcel was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He then went on to graduate from Merrimack College with a degree in Education. A United States Navy Veteran, Marcel served during World War II. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service where he worked as a Tax Examiner.
Marcel was a Square Dancer for the Turkey Town Trotters of North Andover. He also enjoyed Line Dancing.

The son of the late Simeon and Leontine (Gaudet) St. Hilaire, Marcel was the widower of Annabelle (Rousseau) St. Hilaire and is survived by his children: Donalda Bodah of Wilmington, MA, Judy Fusco of Lakewood, CA, George St. Hilaire of Salem, NH, and Laura Miller of Grants Pass, OR. He is also survived by his brothers: Robert St. Hilaire and Richard St. Hilaire, sisters: Florence Ratcliffe, Helen Lowe, Jeannette Cline and Loretta Pawlick, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 3 to 7 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Monica's Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA.
Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA. Memorial contributions may be made in Marcel's memory to the Alzheimer's Association for Massachusetts and New Hampshire, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA, 02472.
