Laconia---Margaret “Meg” Ann Hoey, 27, of 127 Pleasant Street, Laconia died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
Meg was born January 26, 1987 in Laconia, the daughter of Peter M. and Laurie L. (Maguire) Hoey and was a lifelong resident of Laconia. She attended local schools and graduated from Laconia High School in 2005 where she was captain of the softball, volleyball and ski teams. She also attended Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and recently graduated from Empire Beauty School.
Meg was an avid skier and loved hiking. She loved her nephews, Carter and Kobe with all of her heart and her dogs, Charlie and Sam. She had a contagious laugh and always lit up a room. She always tried to make everyone feel beautiful although she struggled with her own depression.
Meg was employed at the Lake Opechee Inn & Spa.
Survivors include her parents, her sister, Sarah Ashley Hoey, and two nephews, Carter and Kobe Lloyd, all of Gilford and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Sarah Maguire and Frank Maguire, Jr. , her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Hoey, and her aunt, Dr. Kathleen Maguire.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andre Bessette Parish, St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00AM
Burial will follow in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Laconia.
