Genoveva Dias (80) of Brockton died October 27th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born in Passagem, Fogo, Cape Verde daughter of the late Jose and Genoveva Andrade. She was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish and enjoyed cleaning, gardening and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by 3 sons, Orlando Goncalves of Brockton, Joao Eurides Dias Goncalves of Cape Verde and Manuel Antonio Goncalves of Portugal, 5 daughters Genoveva Dias Goncalves and Dionizia Goncalves de Canto both of Praia, Cape Verde, Caterina Goncalves Andrade of Fogo, Cape Verde, Maria Silviera of New Bedford and Nazare Goncalves of Brockton, 16 grand and 3 great grandchildren, also a brother and sister in Cape Verde.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Monday November 3rd at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Sunday November 2nd from 5-9 pm.
