She was carried to heaven by a host of Angels and died peacefully at home. Eleanor joins her deceased husband Francis Leo Newhall for all eternity, and to rest in the glory of God.
She was a devoted mother with love for all. Eleanor leaves behind her daughters, Cathy Whycoff of Revere, Donna Swett of Gloucester and Susan Durgin-Duncan of Farmersville, NY, also her sons, Francis of Nashua NH, James of Quincy, Mark of Malden and Michael of Charlestown and her deceased sons Kenneth and John.
She was the proud grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Thursday at 9am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Francis de Sales Church, 303 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown at 10am. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm.
Relatives and friends gratefully invited.
Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
