Fernanda Cordeiro, 86, of Methuen passed away Saturday October 25th at the Northwood Nursing and Rehab surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Arrifes Sao Miguel Azores daughter of Maria (DeNascimento) and Manuel Medeiros. Fernanda took great pride in her home, but most of all spending time with her family.
Fernanda is pre deceased by her husband of 60 years Manuel B. Cordeiro and is survived by her daughters Fernanda Moniz and her husband Armenio of Quebec, Canada, Jorgina Freitas and her husband Manuel of Methuen, a son Manuel Cordeiro and his wife Brenda of Dracut, sisters Maria dos anjos Raposo, Etelvina Perreira, Adriana Barletta, Francisca Farias, brothers Manuel Medeiros, Altino Medeiros, grandchildren Joe Freitas and his wife Sandra of Methuen, Kelly Sweeney and her husband Mike of Methuen, Matthew Cordeiro of Dracut, Great grandchildren Liana, Isabel, Nathan, and Mason.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday October 28th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday October 29th at 9 AM at St Monica's Church in Methuen followed by burial at St Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Lawrence.
