Dorothy C. Hurray, 92, of Derry, NH, died Friday October 24, 2014 at her home in Derry. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 13, 1922, and had been a resident of Derry for over four years, formerly living in Gibsonia, PA. She enjoyed oil painting and was also an accomplished seamstress.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Hurray of Derry; one son, Joseph Hurray of Sandown, NH; two daughters, Marsha Praught of Scottsdale, AZ, and Suzanne Schultheis of Hampstead, NH; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; as well as her sister, Helen Farmin of Scottsdale, AZ.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen, 4 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH 03038. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
