Glenn Edwin Hobbs
June 30, 1933- October 23, 2014

Glenn Edwin Hobbs, 81, of Anderson, died peacefully at home on October 23, 2014 after an extended illness.
He was born on June 30, 1933 in Elwood, Indiana the son of Lawrence Edwin and Mary Ethel (Gordon) Hobbs. He had been employed by Red Gold from 1988-1998, and prior to that he worked for Lynch Machinery from 1955-88. He was a member of the former New Hope Christian Church, and was a volunteer through the years for the YWCA, Christian Center, Operation Love, and Mustin Women's Shelter.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon K. (Hendricks) Hobbs, whom he married on June 6, 1981, 2 Children, Theresa Meadows (fiance Dean Berning) and Lisa (husband David )Killebrew 5 grandchildren: Christina (husband Greg) Madron, Bradley (wife Andrea) Meadows, Brandon Meadows, Miles Killebrew, and Kailani Killebrew. 1 great grandchild, Abigail "Abby" Madron. 6 sisters, Ramona (husband Doug) Copeland, Barbara Spanger, Peggy Badgley, Mary Lou Brown, Sandra Anderson, Connie (husband Mike) Thomas, 2 Brothers, Richard (wife Margaret) Hobbs, and Terry (wife Kathy) Hobbs, 4 step children: Rock, Eric and Jason Kirchner, and Jill (husband Lee) Capehart. 7 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren, and his former wife and mother of his children, Louise Hobbs.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steve A. Hobbs, a son in law, Rick Meadows, and a grandson, Johnnie Gill.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 12 noon at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Pastor John Hannum. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with medical expenses or to the Christian Center
