Claire Y. Lemire, of Manchester, died October 24, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of failing health.
She was born in Manchester and was the daughter of Henri and Robea (Larochelle) Lizotte and was a lifelong resident of this city.
She and her husband were nursing homes operators in the area for many years.
Claire was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent her life doing for others and had many friends. She loved her church, travling and helping others. She was also an excellent seamstress and loved to dance.
Before her retirement, she was an administrator of nursing homes owned by she and her husband and was a longtime member of the New Hampshire Nursing Home Association.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Raymond C. Lemire, who died in 1996.
Family members include two sons, Paul R. Lemire of Manchester, Sean P. Lemire and his fiancee, Marilou, of Manchester; two daughters, Denise Lemire, Susan Lacourse and her husband, George, all of Manchester; her grandchildren, Brian and Alison Lemire, Kevin, Jennifer and Zachary Lacourse, Jessica and Jamie Lemire; a great grandchild, Colton Lacourse; her sister, Pauline Parent and her husband, Jacques, of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, 145 Lowell St., Manchester. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Manchester.
