FLINTOFF, Peter A. of Winthrop, passed away, surrounded by his family, on October 22, 2014. He was 60. He was the beloved husband of Christine M. (McGrath) Flintoff. Devoted father of Allison Flintoff and her husband Jon Burns of Winthrop and Cory Flintoff of Winthrop. Born in Winthrop, MA, he was the son of the late Francis and Isabella (Hess) Flintoff. Dear brother of Michael Flintoff and his wife Ann of Jacksonville, FL, Stephen Flintoff and his wife Anita of Winthrop, Donna Francis and her husband Glen of Chesterfield, NH, and Susan Hunt of Hillsboro, NH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop, on Weds, Oct 29, from 9-11am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop, at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited. Cremation to follow will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to St. John the Evangelist Church or to a charity of your choice. Peter was employed as a truck driver for Reliable Trucking for many years.
