Phyllis Williams

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Phyllis J. Williams, a loving mother and grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

Mrs. Williams was born in December of 1929 in Corbin, KY. She was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Margaret Kelly. She graduated from Corbin High School, going on to receive her Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. She retired from teaching in Richmond County. She was an active member of Warren Baptist Church, the Joy Woman Sunday School Class, and the Joy Club Service Group.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her loving daughters: Jan Williams Robinson and husband Shawn, Kelly Zoolalian and husband Mark, Jessica Williams Palmer and husband Adam; six loving grandchildren: Christopher Robinson, Patrick Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Andrew Zoolalian, Adam Zoolalian, and Addison Palmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be the caring and supportive members of the Joyful Woman Sunday School Class of Warren Baptist Church and the active pallbearers will be her grandsons and sons-in-law: Christopher Robinson, Patrick Robinson, Shawn Robinson, Mark Zoolalian, and COR Adam Palmer, US Navy, and Matthew Robinson.

A funeral service will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Warren Baptist Church with Rev. James F. Bray and Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Corbin, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 3520 Lake Avenue, Suite #202, Wilmette, IL 60091-1064 or to Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Rd., Martinez, GA 30907.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
