Obituary

Mr. Normand J. LeBlanc, of Taunton, died Tuesday, October 21 in Morton Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born 86 years ago in Central Falls, R.I., the son of the late Andrew J. and Emma (Senechal) LeBlanc. He was educated in Taunton, having graduated for the former St. Jacques Grammar School, and had attended Taunton High School. Prior to his retirement, Normand had been the co-owner of his family’s business, Andy’s Market on Bay Street in Taunton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he attained the rank of Private, First Class. He was a former member of the Chester A. Bearse Post 405, American Legion in Raynham. Normand enjoyed traveling, woodworking, cooking, gardening in his yard, and his best friend, Jenny. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
He leaves: 1 sister: Jeannette Gaffney and her husband, Richard of Taunton; 1 brother: Donald A. LeBlanc of Taunton, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was also the brother of the late Robert J. LcBlanc of Sandwich.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, October 24 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and frineds are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
