Theresa L. Geagan, a 50 year resident of Medford and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham after a lengthy illness. She was 84 years old.
Theresa was born in Boston on January 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Michael Geagan and Annie (Malone) Geagan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1948. Theresa worked as a clerk for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Company for many years. She enjoyed attending weekly mass at St. Joseph's Church in Medford. She was a member of the Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association.
Theresa is the devoted sister of the late Mary Geagan, Catherine Manning, Lillian Cassidy, Eileen Luciano, Ann Weaver and John Geagan. She is the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa's visiting hours on Thursday morning, October 23, 2014 from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
