Obituary

LACONIA - Kalem Beane passed away unexpectedly recently in Laconia, NH after a long battle with depression at the age of 33.
Kalem is survived by his loving partner, soul mate and wife of 6 years Megan Beane and his beautiful daughters Natalia and Lillianna. Megan and Kalem were married on the happiest day of Kalem’s life in a beautiful celebration in Belmont in July of this year.
Kalem is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother Sadie Masterson, her husband Jim of Laconia and stepsiblings Andrew Masterson, James Masterson III, Mckayla Masterson and & Mclain Masterson; father George Beane of Tennessee and his wife Robin; siblings Tony Beane and his fiancé Carrie Richards of Laconia; Sister Teri Stone and her husband Chris of Laconia and their children Taylor and Allyssa; brothers Ben McGowan of Laconia and Nathan Beane of Florida; his maternal grandparents Mae Likens of West Virginia and Rachel Wilder of Laconia; aunt Terry McGowen; uncle James Holmes; mother-in-law Susan Spiller and her husband Jim of Belmont and their children, as well as many friends and other extended family members.
Kalem is predeceased by maternal grandparent James Holmes; his paternal grandparents Eugene and Annette Beane and “Grandpa with the broken finger” Gordon Phillips.
Kalem was born in Franklin, NH June 24, 1981; attended public school in Laconia and earned his GED. Kalem held numerous positions for short periods of time, as he struggled with his disease.
Kalem enjoyed most the simple pleasures of life such as spending time with his wife and children, always dreamed and hoped he could make things better for them and himself. He found peace and tranquility at local fishing holes with his siblings and passed that on to his daughter Natalia, immensely enjoying those special times with her. He was deeply devoted to his mother, siblings and other extended family, always looking to help where and how he could. He was also strongly committed to his circle of friends. He loved home cooked meals (as well as the leftovers he would get to take home), Dunkin Donuts coffee, drawing, and working with computers, audio systems, and an endless array of gizmos and gadgets.
We can all learn lessons from the way Kalem lived; to love deeply, smile often and laugh heartily with those closest to us.
Kalem’s family respectfully requests privacy in this time of grieving as they hold a private celebration of life, thank you.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kalem Beane Memorial Fund PO Box 0613 Laconia, NH 03247-0613.
