Michael Patrick Higgins of Framingham passed away suddenly on Friday, October 3, 2014 in his home. He was fifty- four years old.
Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on November 12, 1959, he was raised in Natick, graduated from Natick High School in 1977 and promptly joined the Marine Corps, as his father before him had done.
Upon returning home, he found work as a mason, specializing in tile and ceramics. In a short time, his skill as a ceramic tile mason became well known enough that he was able to establish his own successful business, “Royal Tile”.
Mike loved people, music, athletics, his work, and his family, by whom he will be sincerely missed.
He was the son of Pauline G. Atencio and the late William M. Higgins.
He leaves behind his dearly loved son, Ethan Michael Higgins, of Natick, MA, and Craftsbury, VT.
He was also a loving and devoted brother to Scott L. Higgins of Hopedale, Victoria C. Lane of Oxford, David S. Higgins of Framingham, Joanna Beavers of Worcester, and Stacie N. Allen of Wayland.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd from 4:00-7:00PM, in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
