Claire Marie (Caffrey) Gervais-Trigilio, a resident of Haverhill for 30 years, formerly of Lawrence and beloved wife of the late Richard P. Gervais, died suddenly at her home on Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was 77 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on August 10, 1937, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna (Grzejka) Caffrey. Claire was a graduate of Lawrence High School and had worked as a pet sitter and dog walker for many years. In her spare time, Claire enjoyed bowling in her bowling league and playing cards with her friends. She also spent the last 20 years volunteering at the Nevis MSPCA in Methuen. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Claire was the loving mother of Richard M. and his wife Tammy J. Gervais of Manchester, NH, Scott J. Gervais of CA and Michele T. Gervais-Zabinski and her husband Paul A. Zabinski of Rohoboth, siblings; Lawrence Caffrey of Methuen and Patricia Draniello of Derry, NH, grandchildren; Alyssa and Kristine Gervais and Morgan and Ryan Zabinski, great-grandchildren; Bella and Madison and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 3 to 5 PM in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 10 AM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
