Mr. Kurt R. Miller, age 64, died suddenly, at the VA Medical Center, West Roxbury on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Born in St. Louis, MO, Kurt was the devoted son of the late Marion M. (Aye) and Robert L. Miller.

Kurt was raised in Centralia, Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He honorably served with the United States Army in Vietnam from March 1969 to November 1970. After graduating, Kurt made his way to Texas and became a partner at Price Waterhouse in Houston, a position he held for over 17 years. He eventually made his way to Boston; he was most recently the Chief Financial Officer at Core Investments in Boston.

He was a gifted craftsman and a lifelong student of guitar. In his spare time, he was passionate about gardening, working on cars, furniture refurbishing and carpentry. Kurt was currently the Commander of the Winchester, MA Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Kurt was the beloved husband of Eileen (Pendrak) Miller, devoted father of Karl, Eloise and Louis Miller all of Woburn. Brother of Dale Miller of West Virginia. Nephew of Joyce Urban of Missouri and son-in-law of Dorothy Pendrak of Woburn. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted in the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. WOBURN, Monday, October 20th at 6pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from prior to the service from 3 to 6 p.m. Services will conclude with his committal service on Tuesday, October 21st, at 11 a.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
