Donald P. Richards, 89, of Norfolk died suddenly October 15 at Norwood Hospital. He was the husband of Lois M. (Rudolph) Richards.
Born in Hyde Park, June 21, 1925, the son of the late Angus and Lulu (Morton) Richards, Mr. Richards had lived in Norfolk since 1963.He and his wife had wintered in Marco Island, Florida for many years.
Mr. Richards had been a machinist at Hollingsworth and Vose Company in East Walpole for many years before retiring.
Don enjoyed gardening and doing yard work.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his nephew Robert Richards and his wife Nancy of Walpole. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Everett Richards, Charles Richards and Delbert Richards.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21 in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street Walpole at Noon.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00-Noon.
Private burial will be at a later date in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
