SHERMAN LEON TOWELL, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.
He was a native of Belle, Missouri, a member of Parkwood Baptist Church and the High School Athletic Assoc. He had retired as a trouble shooter for A-Sonic Guard & Alarm Co., and a former employee of Dean’s Milk Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Sherman and Leona Towell; and his brother Richard Towell.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly A. (Shelton) Towell; two children, Shelly Towell (Fred Tisdale) and Matthew Towell (Beth); his sister, Patricia Martin; two brothers, Alfred and David Towell; three grandchildren, Jared, Jason and Nehemiah; a nephew and several nieces.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Parkwood Baptist Church, 7009 Manslick Road with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 -8 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway and Saturday after 10 a.m. at his Church.
