CARROLL V. SANDS, 84, passed away on October 14, 2014.
Carroll was born in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of the late, Asa B. Sands and Lydia (Pryor) Sands.
He was a retired air traffic controller for the Department of Defense at Ft. Knox, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge #236 since 1951.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Delois F. (Cundiff) Sands.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment at Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
