Worcester, MA - Charles L. Benoit, 57, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2014. He leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Susan M. Bigwood Sinclair Benoit and his son John W. Sinclair III. He also leaves his loving sister Linda M. and her husband Russell H. Smith of Spencer; 2 brothers, Paul G. Benoit and Michael Paradise both of Worcester, "Uncle Bob" Robert Chagnon, who is everyone's "Uncle Bob." He leaves his stepfather Peter Paradise, four sisters-in-law, Maryann Flagg, Kathleen Bigwood, and Audrey Benoit, and Joan Bigwood; and his adopted in-laws, Diane and Kevin Cooley and Gwen and Roger Christie. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews and their significant others: Peter Bigwood, Joseph Bigwood and Maya Capstick, Edward and Rebecca Bigwood, Raymond Flagg and Kayla Reil, Jessica Bigwood, and Melissa (Bigwood) Doyle, Tessa Benoit, Wendy Courville, and Peggy Benoit; and so many cousins and friends who were very special to him. He was predeceased by his God parents Louie and Bea Benoit and Aunt Phyllis (Rich) Chagnon.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Charles H. and Ethel Rich Benoit Paradise. He worked for many years as a plumber for the Francis Benoit Plumbing and Heating Company. He was a member of the Auburn Webster Elks #2118. Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards and the casino. He also enjoyed spending holidays - especially Christmas - with "family and friends."
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA 01605. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chucky's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
