Obituary

WEBSTER – Linda L. (Russell) Shockett, 59, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a long illness. Her husband, Joseph A. Shockett, died in 2004.
She leaves her mother, Irene J. (Bulejcik) Russell of Webster; a sister, Donna A. Hart of Cumberland, RI; a brother, Peter J. Russsell and his wife Donna of Hubbardston; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Jay P. Russell, in 1994.
She was born on October 18, 1954 in Webster, a daughter of the late Leo J. “Joe” Russell. She attended St. Louis High School and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1972. She also completed studies at Salem State College. She lived in Webster for many years, moving to Sumter, South Carolina in 1997. She returned here in 2007.
Mrs. Shockett owned and operated a medical billing company before she retired.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She enjoyed swimming and hunting.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 17, at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to St. Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
