Barbara G. Novak, 69, of Methuen passed away Monday October 13th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brandt, Germany daughter of the late Irena (Karpiska) and Tadeusz Chylinski. Barbara was a graduate of St Mary’s High School and later went to Merrimack Collage, Lowell State, and U Lowell. She worked at Pfizer Pharmaceutical for years. In her free time Barbara enjoyed gardening, going to church especially contributing playing the organ and singing in the choirs at Holy Trinity Church in Lawrence and St Michael’s Parish in Haverhill, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her husband of ten years Thomas Kendra of Methuen, daughter Anna Maria Novak of Lowell, Son Jan Michal Novak of Nashua NH, grandchildren Jancinda Novak of Greenfield, Adam Kurowski of Lowell, brothers Henryk Chylinski and his wife Lila of Haverhill, Jeremi Chylinski and his wife Camille of Plaistow NH, sisters Wanda Osgood of Methuen, Jadwiga Lopatto and her husband Janusz of Haverhill, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday October 17th from 8:30-10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday October 17th at 11 AM at St Lucy’s Church in Methuen with burial to take place at a later time.
