Sandra Lee Bradburn, best described as One Tough Cookie, died Sunday October 5, 2014 in Ventura CA after a battle with Liver Cancer. Sandra, known to her family and friends as Sandy, left the hand of her partner June Marsh, whom she loved and was completely devoted to for 27 years.
Sandy resided in Oak View with June and their four dogs, Basil, Puddin, Stitch and Buster, cat Biscuit, and bird Katy. Sandy loved working with her hands and was handy with many things, like painting and construction work. She enjoyed playing pool, was on several pool leagues, and participated in many pool tournaments. She was a football enthusiast, her favorite team being the 49ers. She volunteered countless hours to the Ojai Valley Moose Lodge, and held several chair positions for their Chapter. She also enjoyed gardening and campouts with her partner June. Sandy had a huge network of friends and was well known for her heart of gold, that couldn't say no to anyone in need of help.
Sandy is survived by June; their son Scott Marsh and his wife Ann; grandsons Jordan and Jeremy; granddaughter Megan; great grandaughter Emma Lynn; brothers Jim and wife Teresa Bradburn, and Donny Bradburn; nieces Iris and Tina; and Nephew James.
To honor the life we were blessed to share with her, we will be holding a Pool Tournament and pot luck at the Ojai Valley Moose Lodge on November 16, 2014 at 1PM.
