Michael J. Bigwood, 37, of Worcester and Spencer, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014. He leaves his mother, Maryann (Bigwood) Flagg, grandparents, Ruth Aubin and Virginia Flagg, sons, Shane Bowen, Nathan Bigwood and Justin Debs, daughters, Alissa Ruel, and Brianna Debs, and their parents, Jamie Bowen who was a long-time high school sweetheart and Christina Bedford, mother of Nathan and Alissa. He also leaves his brothers, Raymond Flagg and his girlfriend, Kayla Reil; Adam, Sean, and Andrew LaFlash; sisters, Denise Peduzzi, Michelle Flagg, and Beckey.
Aunts and Uncles, Susan Benoit, Kathleen Bigwood, Joan Bigwood, Jack Cox, Skip and Mai, Herbert and Paula, Steven, Rusty, and Robert Grogan, Joe LaFlash, Kathryn and Paul Lougee, Heidi and Robert Allen, and Joe Flagg. Aunts Susan Benoit and Kathryn Lougee were like second mothers to Michael). He also leaves many, many cousins, other family members, and friends. He leaves behind his beloved kitty "Moo." Michael was predeceased by his fathers Paul LaFlash and Raymond E. Flagg, grandparents Esther Bigwood and Richard LaFlash, Aunt Linda Grogan and Uncle Charles Benoit, and other family members.
Michael loved being a father, going on family camping trips, cookouts, deep-sea fishing, ATVing, riding his motorcycle, gambling and bingo, avid PEZ collector, treasure hunter, and chilling out with his family and friends. He was a commercial roofer and a man of many trades. Michael always had a smile on his face and was a kind and caring person. He was always helping someone out or just being helpful. That's my Michael.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester on Saturday from 9-11am. A service will follow at 11am in the funeral home.
