Alexander Depestre (88) died October 10th in Norwood Hospital.
He was born in Romane, Dominican Republic son of the late Ulysse and Touta Depestre. He came to this country 20 years ago from Haiti. He loved to exercise, clean and attend church. While in Haiti he was a foreman at a shipping and transport company.
Survivors include 2 sons Smith and Alexander Depestre both of Brockton, 2 daughters Myrtho Laurent of Boston and Sheyle Depestre of Santo Domingo, 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in the Eglise Pentecotiste Des Elus De Dieu 291 Main Street Brockton Saturday October 18th at 9:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Friday October 17th from 6-9 pm.
