Obituary

Natalie M. (Keith) Vanmoerkerque, of Main St., passed away during the early morning hours of Friday, October 10th, at the age of 77. She died peacefully at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family and friends after fighting a brave battle with lung cancer. She was the wife of the late Robert Vanmoerkerque and Wilfrid Boivin. Born in East Derry, NH she was a daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Blanchard) Keith. Natalie was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She also enjoyed shopping, listening to music, watching TV, and playing cards.

She is survived by seven children, William J. Boivin, Tina M. Barr widow of the late Curtis Barr, Lee J. Boivin and his wife Benita, Denise A. Salaices widow of the late Michael Salaices Sr., Paula L. Brissette and her husband Eric, all of Woonsocket, Karen A. Hansen and her husband Mark of Mansfield, MA, and Barbara J. Vanmoerkerque and her partner Jennifer Kohut of CT.

The light of her life was her family and she was the very proud Meme of her nine grandchildren, Michael A. Salaices Jr., Katie M. Boivin, Nicholas J. Boivin, Curtis A. Barr, Jordan J. Barr , Katrina S. Barr and Brianna Hill all of Woonsocket, and Victoria N. Hansen and Cole J. Hansen of MA. She had three great-grandchildren that she treasured, Avah N. Abreu-Barr, Maddisyn K. Salaices, and Julia M. Kramer all of Woonsocket. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald Keith of Woonsocket,and Raymond Roy of Weymouth, MA, and sisters, Diane Staub of Ocala, FL, Arlene Lamoureux of Thompson, CT, Dolores Lamonda of NC, and Elaine Acquaro of St. Petersburg, FL., and a large extended family.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting Hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in Natalie’s Memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI 02904-9826.
