Obituary

Roger J. Keller, 68, of Walpole died suddenly October 7 at his home. He was the husband of Linda (Valentine) Keller for the past 38 years.
Born in Buffalo, New York, April 10, 1946, the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Kolat) Keller, Mr. Keller was raised in Buffalo and lived there until graduating from the University of Buffalo with a degree in electrical Engineering.
A recruiter from Polaroid introduced him to the field of quality. Now as an inspector for the camera division in Norwood Roger’s skills were developing in a new field.
Eventually, he approached our economic times with training in medical devices, six sigma and ISO regulations, which opened a job for the 3M medical division in Cambridge.
Sometime after, Roger continued his career as an independent Quality Assurance Consultant, improving production for many corporations. While he was semi-retired, agencies continued to call with assignments.
He was a member of the Boston section, American Society of Quality Assurance and served President and Treasurer.
Mr. Keller served in the Army during the Vietnam War era.
He enjoyed rebuilding cars, mechanically or electrically, or disassembling and upgrading computers was a challenge taken without hesitation. He also had a great interest in reading quality progress, six sigmas, auto articles, science fiction, the Bible and other spiritual material.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Barbara Davis of Buffalo, New York. He is also survived by his sister Donna Rushok and her husband Fred and their 4 children of Buffalo. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.
