Robert M. Hamilton aged 61 of Marathon, FL formerly of Canton passed away on September 30th after a brief illness. Born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. following high school he worked in the culinary department of Mass Maritime, and Curry College. Bob also worked as a bartender at Big D’s in Canton for many years. He moved to Marathon Florida 26 years ago, where he worked as Weighmaster for the Monroe County DPW up until his death. Beloved son of Jean Hamilton of Stoughton and the late Donald Hamilton. He leaves behind his former wife and best friend Sharon Swanton Hamilton of Marathon, Florida. Dear brother of Scott, Lisa, Linda, Luke Paul, Donald, and Donna, . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bobby had a passion for cooking and fishing. He was an exemplary son, brother and friend and will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday morning at 11. Visiting hour prior to the service from 10-11 am.
