Angelina M. “Angie” Durante, 85 of Somerville, died Saturday after a long illness in the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, Melrose.

Born in Boston, she lived in Somerville for the past 59 years and formerly of East Boston. She was the daughter of the late Louise (Giordino) and Joseph Giuggio.

Beloved wife of Richard A. Durante. Devoted mother of Dr. Bernard J. Durante and his wife Diane of Plymouth and Richard P. Durante of Amarillo, TX. Loving grandmother of Laura Bedard, Jennifer, Michael K., Nicholas A., and Anthony J. Durante. Loving great grandmother of Matilda Rose and Gabriel Joseph Bedard. Sister of Teresa Nania of Malden, Helen McCoy of Burlington, Julia Rondino of Saugus, Louise DePlacido of Saugus and the late Rose Siciliano, Lena Catanese, Ralph and John Giuggio. Sister in law of Alice Giuggio.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
