Obituary

Joseph Arthur Sullivan, 78, passed away on October 4, 2014. He was born on July 3rd, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts to Joseph and Laura (Maki) Sullivan.
Joseph grew up in Boston. After attending the Jefferson School in Jamaica Plain, Ma, He joined the Army in 1953 and served for three years. He served in Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
After the war Joseph worked as a bartender and painter in Boston for many years where he and his brothers could often be found fishing.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Laura, his wife Lillian Ware Florence and his brothers Richard Tuori and Walter Sullivan.
Joseph is survived by his first wife Rena Devine of Whitman, MA; their children Nancy Craig of East Bridgewater, MA, Michael and his wife Dorothy of Liberty Hill, TX, Karen Sullivan of Cape Coral FL, his favorite sister Laura and her husband James Campbell, of Bridgewater, MA; his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service followed by a burial will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne, MA on Friday October 24th at 2:00 PM
