Frank J. Dias Sr., age 59 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 in St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the husband of Marianne (Gregor) Dias of Georgia and the son of the late Alfred S. & Vivian A. (Mello) Dias.
Frank served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and prior to retiring, Frank worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department in Georgia.
He is also survived by his son: Frank J. Dias Jr. of Peachtree City, GA and his daughter Jennifer L. Travis of Fayetteville, GA; 3 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 6 brothers; 1 sister; 1 late brother; and many nieces & nephews.
Following cremation, Frank’s cremated remains will be entombed in a Niche at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA with military honors at a later date & time to be announced.
