NATICK: Mary Margaret Shute, of Natick, formerly of Marstons Mills, passed away on Saturday, September 28th with her family at her side at the age of ninety one.
She is survived by her loving husband Charles Shute. Mary was dedicated to her family, devoted to her three children, Gail, George, and Nora Jean Wall. She was the grand-mother of Jessica Goudy, Amy Alden Wudyka, Kenneth Alden, and Matthew Alden of whom she was very proud. She also loved her great grand-son Christopher. Mary was also the aunt of Denise, Michael, and John Murphy.
Mary grew up in Belmont and was a graduate of Belmont high school. She later settled in Hudson, MA where she began her family. She lived in Marstons Mills for the last 26 years. Mary was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McCafferty) Murphy. She much enjoyed sewing but her passion was dancing. Her work as a nurse's aide gave her great joy in helping those she cared for.
Hours of visitation for Mary will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, At Natick Common, Natick, MA on Wednesday, October 8 between the hours of 5 PM and 7 PM. The family asks that you join them in wearing white as you gather to remember Mary during the visitation. Burial services will be held in private.
