New Bedford – Zuleyka Rivas, age 26, of New Bedford, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Puerto Rico, daughter of Vivian Santiago of New Bedford and lived in this area since 2004.
Her surviving family includes her mother, two brothers: Mario Rivas and Joseph Oquendo both of New Bedford; her grandmother, Rosa Vega; an aunt, Enid Santiago, and 4 cousins: Stephanie, Melanie, Christian and Nathalie Santiago.
Services for Ms. Rivas will be Monday at 12 P.M. in the funeral home. There will be visitation prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Rural Cemetery. Arrangements have been placed in the care of the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help pay for the funeral and will be greatly appreciated.
