Virginia Anderson Stewart, age 77, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Calhoun City Nursing Home in Calhoun City, MS. She was born September 30, 1937 in Water Valley, MS to the late Robert and Pauline Carter Anderson. Virginia was a retired seamstress for Big Yank in Water Valley, MS and a member of the Water Valley Assembly of God church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and working in her flower gardens. Virginia loved everyone and was always helping others in need. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and treasured time spent with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Keith Burney officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Janeen (Bill) Henry and Peggy (Roger) Baggett all of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Mary Lois Landreth and Amy Brown both of Water Valley, MS; her children’s father, Earl Stewart of Water Valley, MS; five grandchildren, Amanda (Raul) Guzman of Oxford, MS, Cliff Rodgers of Oxford, MS, Brandon Baggett of Oxford, MS, T. J. Prince of Batesville, MS and Angela (Joe) Barton of Oakland, MS; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Earl Stewart. | ||||
