Obituary

Vincent “Jimmy” Raspa age 92, of Quincy formerly of Brockton, died Saturday September 27, 2014 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Olive L. (Nichols) Raspa. He was born and raised in Brockton the son of the late Anthony and Clara (Oriola) Raspa. Following his 1940 graduation from Brockton High School he began his management career at the Rialto and Brockton Theaters.
During WWII Jimmy served in the US Army in the India Burma Theatre. In 1951, Jimmy began his lengthy career with the New Haven Railroad retiring in 1984 from Amtrak.
Jimmy loved music and enjoyed playing the trumpet and singing in the St. Patrick Church Choir.
Jimmy was the brother of the late Mary Dupuy and uncle of Robert Dupuy of Brockton. He also leaves several cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday at 11 am with visitation 10-11. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
